Go to Gardens    Go to  Hostas    You are at Greenhouses

Through a little gate into a little garden,
protected by a little scarecrow,
sits a little house of Sunshine.
And on the coldest winter day, all inside is GREEN.
It makes cats happy to go there. it makes me happy, too.

Frannie Cat explores the greenhouse for signs of her arch-nemesis Spot

Spot, the outdoor cat, a bit nervous the first time he cam inside,
but after feeling the warmth, he made himself at home

Cedar Greenhouse. Summer 2007

Little greenhouse in raised bed garden at Quinn Mountain. Summer 2007.

Geraniums in late fall. They will bloom all winter with greenhouse staying about 40 degrees all day and night. Alstreomeria in top R of photo. Little electric fireplace is on automatic thermostat.

Above: Hoop greenhouse  with permanent ends installed. Heated with Mr. Heater indoor-safe propane floor heating when we are working there on really cold winter days.  A vibrant, productive place to grow cool weather Oriental greens in winter and a lively place to reconnect with Nature and self on dreary, drizzly days.
