WASHINGTON STATE TARTAN:
Several of the Scottish performers
at Quinn Mountain were dressed
in the
official Washington State tartan,
including Fred Van Nus,
the gentleman
in the tartan trousers.
The symbolic colors of this tartan are:
Green for the Evergreen state
Blue for the
rivers, lakes, and ocean
Red for all the fruit
Yellow for all
the grains
Black for Mt. St. Helens
White for the snow-capped mountains
