Farmer's Boy by my Great Uncle John R. Allan  is a personal account of my family's life on their farm in Dungair near Aberdeen Scotland through my Grandfather's time before he left for Canada about 1918.

My Great Uncle wrote this book which was first published on June 27, 1935 with a second edition published in the same year by Muthuen and Co. Ltd. London, England.

Illustrated by Douglas Percy Bliss

Dedicated to William Morrison, In memory of The Scots Observer and the Nuits St. Georges.
Note: If anyone has information to explain the dedication, I would appreciate hearing.

The Forward is a quote by Sir Thomas Brown as follows:

'Man is a noble animal, splendid in ashes and pompous in the grave, solemnizing nativities and deaths with equal luster, nor omitting ceremonies of bravery in t infamy of his nature.'
